The PSTA case-holder preparation Case clinic Use one page to describe a question you can act on. Remove identifying details unless you have permission to share them. 1. What is happening, and who is affected? Describe the situation and the experience of people affected by it. Distinguish what you have observed from what you think is causing it. 2. What do you need help with? Name a decision, something preventing action, or a question you can't yet answer. Say what you have tried and what happened. 3. Who sees it differently? Describe the roles and interests involved, including people affected who won't be in the clinic. What might they know that you don't? 4. What can you change? Describe your authority, relationships, resources, constraints, and access to evidence. Say where someone else's decision is needed. 5. What could you try next? Suggest an action, conversation, or test. What do you expect to happen? What evidence would support or challenge that expectation? 6. What can be shared? State what can be discussed in the clinic, what must remain confidential, and who must agree before anything is published. Taking part doesn't give permission to publish. After the clinic Record what you chose to do, who will act, the review date, and the evidence you will collect. Bring back what happened, including what didn't work or changed your view.
